NewEnCo & Solar PV
Following the introduction of the Feed in Tariff in April 2010, NewEnCo identified the opportunity to deploy it's embedded generation experience and skills in the large scale commercial Solar PV sector. However, following the amendments to the FiT (referred to as the Fast Track Review) in Spring 2011, this type of project was no longer financially viable.
Accordingly, we have turned our focus on the small to medium scale industrial commercial and domestic markets, where the economics remain attractive under the FiT.
The FiT requires installers of Solar PV schemes of up to 50kW to be accredited under the Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS). NewEnCo achieved full MCS Accreditation in June 2011.
NewEnCo has already completed a number of Solar PV schemes, with many more projects planned.
NewEnCo has the supply chain in place and the expertise available to deliver high quality affordable Solar PV schemes to both domestic and business customers. Unlike many other Solar PV installers, who have entered the renewables market following the introduction of the Feed in Tariff, we have a proven track record in the sector going back over 10 years.
