180kW Scania based gen set package for use with landfill gasRenewable Power Systems was established 30 years ago with the objective of promoting landfill gas fuelled power generation schemes and has developed an unrivalled track record and reputation within the Waste Industry.

Renewable Power Systems has now successfully implemented over 70 MW of landfill gas generation with projects ranging from 50kW to 6MW and currently manages 15 MW of power generation across 14 sites throughout the UK.

Renewable Power Systems has a unique position in the UK as an independent service provider for landfill gas control and utilisation.

Working with Sandfirden Technics from the Netherlands, Renewable Power Systems developed a 180kW Scania based package for use on landfill gas.  This package has proved to be extremely reliable with the lead engines achieving over 100 000 hours at in excess of 93% availability.

  • Generation facility design, procurement, project management, commissioning and operation

  • Grid connection applications and delivery

  • Project planning consent

  • Environmental impact assessments

Renewable Power Systems maintains a detailed knowledge of the UK power sales markets and incentive schemes, including the Renewables Order, Feed in Tariff and Renewable Heat Incentive.  They can offer both in depth advice and also deal with the often complex application and accreditation processes, where their previous experience and contacts are an invaluable asset.
